Park prirode Lastovo
The Lastovo archipelago is located in the Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea, 14 km south of the island of Korcula. It belongs to the outer group of South Dalmatian islands and includes the southernmost Croatian inhabited island Lastovo with its islands, the island groups Lastovnjaci and Vrhovnjaci and the island of Sušac.
Lastovo and its islands are built of Jurassic and Cretaceous deposits formed mainly by dolomites, dolomitized limestone, and pure limestone.
The highest peak of the island of Lastovo, Hum (417 m), is the most beautiful lookout point on the island, offering a view of the development of relief visible in rounded hills, deeply cut bays and fields, and on the other hand an endless view of the sea and islands. Slightly lower peaks are Mali Hum (415 m) and Pleševo brdo (400 m).
