The story of Split has lasted for 17 centuries. The Roman emperor Diocletian decided to build a palace on that peninsula near the great Roman city of Salona, in which he would spend the last years of his life in peace. In those 1700 years, the Palace developed and became a city, which today attracts with its rich tradition, magnificent history and the beauty of natural and cultural heritage.
Split is unique for its ever-living stone waterfront, Diocletian's Palace, UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bačvice Beach and Picigin and Marjan Forest Park, the most beautiful lookout point on the city, but also a refuge for all recreationists who come to it. The guardian of Split is the centuries-old, imposing fortress Klis, which in history was the seat of Croatian princes and kings Trpimirović. Today is the location of the filming of the film series "Game of Thrones". Nearby Solin, the ancient Salona, in the church on the river Jadro keeps the memory of the coronations of Croatian kings.
Diocletian's Palace
Diocletian's Palace is one of the best preserved monuments of Roman architecture in the world. Built as a combination of a luxury villa - a summer house and a Roman military camp (castrum), divided into four parts by two main streets.
Marjan
Marjan, a hill overlooking Split, with the highest peak of 178 meters, is the most impressive part of the picture of Split. It is also called the Holy Hill, and it hides many monuments of sacral and profane architecture, paired with this green oasis, which evokes a feeling of admiration and awe.
Klis Fortress
Klis Fortress is one of the most complete examples of fortification architecture in Croatia. It is located on the pass between Kozjak on the west side and Mosor on the east side.
Šibenik is located in the central Adriatic, in a picturesque, indented bay influenced by the Krka, which is known as one of the most beautiful Croatian karst rivers.
Šibenik is recognizable for its cultural and historical sights and natural beauty. The city boasts as many as two monuments under UNESCO protection, the Cathedral of St. Jacob and the fortress of St. Nicholas.
Robert Visiani Park
It is one of the most beautiful Dalmatian parks where the park culture and landscape are combined.
Fortress of St. Mihovila
It was built on a steep, rocky hill with a beautiful view of the numerous islands of the Šibenik archipelago and the medieval town.
Long beaches in the shade of pine trees and Biokovo, the highest mountain along the Croatian coast, are the main elements of the Makarska Riviera landscape.

The chain of mountains, including one of the highest in Croatia, which separates the continental features of Zagora from the Mediterranean atmosphere of the beaches, is among the most beautiful in the world. There are sea shoals and open seas, small islands and hidden beaches.
Astropark and observatory
The youngest observatory in the Republic of Croatia was built on a monument and is located in the city center on a small natural hill just 50 m from the waterfront and the city beach.
Biokovo Nature Park
Biokovo - a mountain with a root in the sea and a forehead in lightning. Every step to the highest peak, Sveti Jure at 1762 meters, is rewarded with a panoramic view of the sea and islands, Zagora, the mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina and neighboring Italy.
The island of Brač
The island of Brač is bordered by magical bays and covered with forests of pines and cypresses. Supetar is the largest settlement on the island of Brač and also the only town on the island, and as such it is the administrative, cultural and certainly the tourist center of Brač.
Paradise beach Zlatni rat near Bol, is one of the most beautiful pebble beaches on the Croatian coast.
The island of Hvar
Dynamic and unique, Hvar is a luxurious island where culture and lifestyle blend at a short distance, from beautiful hills with scattered vineyards, stone walls to sunny beaches. It is also the sunniest island in the Mediterranean with an average of 2,726 hours of sunshine a year.
The group of about 20 islets and cliffs that stretches in front of the town of Hvar called Pakleni islands is the unique and most recognizable natural beauty of Hvar.
The island of Vis
The island of Vis is located on the open sea, 45 kilometers from the mainland and is surrounded by an archipelago consisting of many smaller islands and islets.
The Blue Cave in Biševo is the most attractive natural monument in the archipelago, which is characterized by a unique light effect that will not leave you indifferent. Just one mile away is Medvidina Cave, another natural monument and the longest semi-submerged cave on the Adriatic.
The Split region is located in central Dalmatia. Starting from the magnificent, rugged mountain Biokovo with the top of Sv. Jura, which separates 60 kilometers of beautiful pebble beaches of the Makarska Riviera, hidden in the shade of pine trees, from the vast Dalmatian hinterland with karst fields - respectively Cetinski, Paški, Vrlički, Sinjski, Vrgorac and Imotski.
