Zaton is a small tourist place located in the bay of the same name in the Zadar Channel. It is a unique combination of Dalmatian architecture, pleasant Mediterranean climate, preserved nature, rich cultural and historical heritage and lively tourist everyday life.

Remains of life and culture have been known in the area of Zaton since the beginning of the Bronze Age, about 4000 years ago. In Roman times, Zaton was a port that belonged to Aenona (Nina).
